Supporting farmers and local producers

Mount Claremont Farmers’ Market has been a popular meeting place for locals and visitors since 2007.  Situated in the leafy suburb of Mount Claremont, the Market brings together growers and consumers, provides a relaxed meeting place and teaches the origins of foods.

The Market’s 55 stalls tempt patrons with sustainable produce and delicious, locally made products.  You can stock up on organic and heirloom vegetables and fresh herbs, just-picked fruits from the orchard, grass-fed beef, lamb and pork, free range chicken, freshly caught seafood, olive oils, unprocessed honey, farmstead cheeses, cultured butter, artisan breads and more!  The Market caters for people with special dietary requirements such as vegan, paleo, gluten free and dairy free.  Our granola, speciality loaves, natural nut butters, cakes and pastries are so good, you wouldn’t even know they’re gluten free!

We also have stalls offering handmade arts, crafts and jewellery, homewares, natural and organic body products, eco-friendly food wraps and cleaning products, and plants and flowers.  We even have nutritious handmade meals and treats for your dog!

Our decked area is popular with breakfast goers.  Hot food stalls include bacon and egg wraps, sweet & savoury crepes, gourmet toasties, vegetable gyoza and Japanese pancakes.  In addition to hot coffee, there’s also popular Nitro cold brew and a wide variety of raw cold-pressed juices.  Kids love our real fruit popsicles and creamy coconut ice-creams.

So grab your reusable market bag and bring your adventurous spirit along!

Enjoy at the Market

A visit to the Market has become a Saturday morning ritual for many locals.  Soak up some community vibes and enjoy a casual breakfast or morning tea before you gather your grower direct fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, eggs, fish, bread and dairy products.  Meander around the Market, sample the latest seasonal produce, browse the plant stalls, pick up some cut flowers to brighten your home or fill your picnic basket with specialty cheeses, pate, chilled juice and nourishing treats.  Local fresh produce varies by season, so there is always something new to see, smell and taste.

The Experience

The Market provides a relaxed and friendly outdoor environment to shop and connect with the local community.  With a wealth of healthy choices and the opportunity to chat directly with growers and producers about how their products are grown or made makes the experience vastly different to supermarket shopping.  Enthusiasm for their products is obvious among stallholders and they delight in advising the best complementary products from other stalls.  The playground areas provide entertainment for the children while the adults sit back and enjoy coffee and a bite to eat.

The Reputation

The Market has built a solid reputation for providing quality fresh produce direct from growers and producers.  Quality, diversity, freshness and stallholder commitment and pride are important to us, as is our Charter which outlines the principles, rules and guidelines necessary for the Market to operate efficiently.  Our Market continues to be featured in a range of publications such as Australian Gourmet Traveller, Food Lover’s Guide to Perth, The Urban List and local newspapers.  Top local chef Russell Blaikie visits the Market regularly to stock up on fresh ingredients.
