MEET AND GREET WITH  MCFM COMMITTEE MEMBERS AT 12.30PM on SATURDAY 27/07/24

Dear stallholders,

As 2024 speeds through like a rollercoaster, the Mt Claremont Farmers Market Committee would love to invite you to stay behind after the markets on Saturday, 27 July 2024, to meet and have a chat with Tihana Kealley, the Mt Claremont P&C President, as well as Tim Rakich, the Farmers Market Committee Chairperson. We would love for all stallholders to stay and meet us and have a chat about the markets and your experiences as stallholders. We know some stalls are harder to pack up than others so the suggested start time for the catch up is 12:30pm. We will have a quick introduction which we would ask that you gather around the decking area and then we can open the floor for a more general chat.

MCFM Stallholder Communication Guide

We would like to remind everyone about the communication process at Mt Claremont Farmers Market.

All communications with market staff, committee members and Stallholder representatives must be respectful and polite. If Stallholders have concerns on market day about operations, their site, or another Stallholder, they should inform the Market Operator – Lorna Bunney. If the matter can’t be discussed with the Market Operator for some reasons, you can contact Business Manager – Thuy Nguyen  or you can reach out to the stallholder representatives – currently Ron Atyeo and Alan Zenten.

If the matter has not been addressed or resolved to your satisfaction after those discussions, your complaint or feedback should be formalised in an email to the management committee at fmmc.mcfm@gmail.com. The management committee will respond to you within ten (10) business days.

Please do not contact the management committee members directly because the committee consist of some members and they will need to discuss your matter  among themselves based on your email.

You must not contact school management or our P&C with matters relating to the operation of the market as they are not involved in running a farmers’ market. Any correspondence sent to school or the P&C will simply be forwarded to the management committee, as we are a sub-committee of the P&C tasked with operating the market. These actions will simply slow down our response time and waste the time of people who don’t have the relevant knowledge or decision making role to progress your concerns.

Confrontational or aggressive behaviour towards staff, fellow stallholders, volunteers, or patrons is not acceptable. Inappropriate behaviour will result in warnings and potential removal from the Market.

RISK MANAGEMENT

Mt Claremont Farmers Market is dedicated to providing a completely safe environment for our staff, volunteers, stallholders, and customers.

Please ensure you report any Health and Safety issues to Lorna at 0411895101 or email fmmc.mcfm@gmail.com.

Please make sure all signature and shop equipment or products are placed within designated area. You will need to have valid public liability insurance to cover any risks caused by you and your staff at the market.

All electrical equipment must be tested and tagged.

Anchor weights must be used to secure your marquee(s) every week.

If you see anything unsafe to customers or yourself at the market, please speak up. Thank you for your cooperation.
